Southwold Cycle Hire has been running independently for over 35 years.
Started in 1983, by Jean Finch, the business was taken on by her son Tony Finch who has successfully run it from Blyth Road since the early 2000’s until now.
With the garage being forced to close after a recent development plan, it has been passed on to grandson and nephew Jason Wright, who is working on it with lifelong friend Barnes Thomas.

Jason Wright
Jason has stepped in to continue running the family business. He’s always had a passion for bikes; his first job at 14 was helping his uncle repair punctures and fixing bits and pieces in the old garage. Jason will be on hand to deliver the bikes and is the first point of contact.
Jason plays football and cricket for Southwold and is often seen in the Nelson or walking or cycling along the coast with his 3 dogs (Elsy, Luna and George) in tow.
Barnes Thomas
Barnes grew up locally and is now living between Suffolk and London. He is on hand for the digital, technical and print side. During summer months he will also be helping deliver and fix the bikes.
Barnes is often back in Suffolk wandering along the beach or biking over to Dunwich.
