How to use the booking system.
1. Alternative ways to book and same-day bookings
We advise that you use the booking system (under the ‘Book your bikes’ link) to complete your bookings. We’ve added some guidance below.
However, if you are booking bikes for the same day or are having trouble with booking online, we recommend calling us: 07946 338097 or emailing us: hello@southwoldcyclehire.co.uk with your details.
2. Additional information
If you choose to get the bikes delivered there is a flat £5 delivery fee (please make sure to switch the toggle in your Order Basket when you order).
For hires on the day, please give us a call to make sure we can fulfil the booking.
Bikes come with locks and helmets as standard. You can also request a pump.
We aim to deliver between 9am and 10am though during busy summer days, this may be stretched. You are welcome to request a time and we can see what we can do. We aim to pick up bikes between 5-6pm.
Our range of bikes and accessories includes trailers, baskets, helmets, child seats. We deliver to specific parts of the Suffolk coast - check our FAQs for details.
3. How to use the booking system
The booking system can be a little tricky to use so here’s some help.
Below the ‘Booking page’ heading, you’ll see dates. You’ll need to click into these to set the date of your booking.
You’ll also see photographs of bikes and accessories (such as trailers) in ‘cards’ on the booking page.
To order bikes or accessories you need to click on the ‘cards’. This should bring up more information on the bike.
You can then choose the size (this is a rough guide - we can adjust the seat to suit so doesn’t matter too much)
You can also choose quantity e.g. if you’d like 2 x Men’s Trail Bikes.
You can then click the 'Add to Basket' button which adds the order to your order 'Basket'.
If you'd like to add more bikes or accessories just click the 'X' in the top corner of the ‘Basket’ to hide the Basket.
You should then be able to go through the process of adding one or more extra items.
When you have everything you need, you can click on the ‘Checkout’ button on the order ‘Basket’. If the ‘Basket’ is not on your screen, you should be able to click on a big yellow icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen to reveal it.
You’ll then be taken to a page where you’ll need to add in your name, number and email address.
Make sure to click on the link stating ‘Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding.’ Also make sure to click on the small box beside it so a tick appears. This is to confirm that you have read the T’s and C’s.
Once you have done that, you’ll need to click the ‘Continue to Payment’ button and add payment details. You then need to click the Pay button to complete the order.
Once this has done, you’ll receive a confirmation email and all should be good to go!
